RALEIGH -- A pro-gun group says it will sue over a decision by North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler to continue a ban on concealed carry weapons at the NC State Fair.

Grass Roots NC's President, Paul Valone, says firearm carriers have the right to protect themselves.

"These victim disarmament zones actually draw violent predators. If the predators know that people are likely to be armed at these venues

they seek softer targets. They go elsewhere."

State Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler maintains the biggest fear is an accidental discharge injuring innocent victims.
