RALEIGH -- Winter Weather is threatening North Carolina once again and it has prompted Governor Pat McCrory to declare a state of emergency across the Tar Heel state. Governor McCrory says that the dangers of this weather is where in North Carolina it will be impacting.

According to Governor McCrory, "What's unique about this weather pattern, it's going to be impacting almost all of North Carolina. But it's especially going to be impacting central and eastern North Carolina, which often doesn't see this type of potential accumulation."

Governor McCrory says the state of emergency declaration sets up the steps to mobilize resources and is the preliminary step in asking for federal assistance. The governor has also signed an executive order cutting through red tape for trucks delivering emergency supplies.
